Fictional Bucket List

* Hello loves! I'm back again after another break. This spring has just been really hard. As I'm sure it's like that for most of us. I just haven't been keeping track of when I'm supposed to be posting things. It's all fine though. I'm not beating myself up for it or feeling guilty. Today, I thought it would be fun to make my fictional bucket list! These are all things I'd love to do or places I'd visit if it were possible to do so.

My Fictional Bucket List

A small-ish list of things I'd love to do in fictional worlds.

1. Go flying with Spensa and Skyward Flight (Skyward)

I'm not exactly sure if this would happen or not because I'm kind of terrified of heights. It might be a little difficult to get me in the air but once up I would probably be ok....maybe.

2. Be best friends with Cassian and Azriel (A Court of Mist and Fury)

I've always thought I would be great friends with Cassian and Azriel. Just think of me as the new Mor.

3. Tell Darrow that he has done enough (Red Rising)

This guy just needs a break....for the rest of his life. I want to tell him that he can stop fighting and let someone else pick up the fight.

4. Hug Bryce and tell Rhun I'm his mate (House of Earth and Blood)

Bryce needs about fifty hugs and I'd like to give them to her. Also, Rhun is my mate. Fight me.

5. Watch a quidditch match (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)

Let's face it. I'm never ever going to play quidditch. But much like football, I would probably watch every game!

6. Have a butterbeer at The Three Broomsticks (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban)

I've always wanted to try a butterbeer because it sounds amazing! And The Three Broomsticks seems like the best place to meet up with friends.

7. Fly with Eragon and Saphira (Eragon)

Again, I'm not sure how this would work because I'm terrified of heights. But I think the honor of flying on Saphira's back with Eragon would definitely outweigh the fear of heights.

8. Work at the Great Libraries (Sorcery of Thorns)

So, I can't remember the name of the kingdom in this book and the map doesn't give the name but I think it would be so fun to work at one of the Great Libraries! Magical books? Sign me up!

9. Shop in the City of Starlight, also known as Velaris (A Court of Mist and Fury)

Yes, yes, and yes! I love shopping and it would be so amazing to see Velaris and buy some new goodies!

10. Go shopping in Diagon Alley (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets)

Keeping with the shopping theme here. I think it would be so much fun to go shopping in Diagon Alley. Even if I didn't need most of the stuff available it would be a lot of fun! Kind of like visiting a museum.

11. Visit the elves in Lothlorien and Rivendell (The Fellowship of the Rings)

I think of this as a spa day. I could see the elves teaching me new ways to control my anxiety and relax. Oh and I think they are firm believers in naps.

12. Visit the City of Weep (Strange the Dreamer)

Ever since I read Strange the Dreamer I've wanted to visit Weep. It just sounds so magical. And also warm, which it is not here at the moment.

13. Visit Terrasen and hang out with the Cadre (Kingdom of Ash)

Let's face it, I would probably only visit in the summer because Terrasen gets cold in the winter. And I'm not thinking the heating system in the castle will keep the place very warm. Just sayin'. I think it would be a lot of fun to hang out with the Cadre. They all seem completely silly and ridiculous. I'm sure I'd fit right in.

14. Take classes with Alex at Yale University (Ninth House)

Ever since I read Ninth House I've been wanting to go back to school. Not seriously but just to be learning something new would be so much fun.

15. Fight beside Paige (The Bone Season)

The world in The Bone Season is so interesting to me. Like I seriously want to live in it. The reason I say fight is because there's no doubt in my mind that I would have to fight at some point. The Bone Season is a brutal world and if I didn't fight I would probably die.

16. Ride through The White Way of Delight with Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables)

Ever since I watched the Anne of Green Gables movie I've wanted to visit Prince Edward Island in Nova Scotia. It's just one of the most magical places that also happens to be real. If only Anne were real. Then we could commiserate over our red hair together.

17. Go to school at Hogwarts (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)

Of course, I couldn't end this list without my ultimate fictional wishlist item. I'm still waiting for my Hogwarts letter. I'm not sure if I'll ever get one but here's to wishing.

This is not an exhaustive list by any means. These are just some of the things that I'd love to do if it was possible. It seems I'll just have to keep dreaming.

Happy reading,

Alicen
