The Coffee Book Tag

*Hello my loves! It's time to do another bookish tag today. I don't know about you but I really LOVE doing these tags. They are fun and can really get you thinking about who you are as a reader. Anyway, let's dig into it.

The Coffee Book Tag

1. Black: Name a series that's tough to get into but has hardcore fans.

Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn series. I read Mistborn or The Final Empire about a year ago and I really have no interest in picking it up. I really can't say why. Other than I thought the book was deathly boring.

2. Peppermint Mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or festive time of year.

I don't really read seasonal books. I assume that Christmas themed books would be more popular. These usually tend to be contemporary or romance books and I don't read that stuff. So I'm out on this one.

3. Hot Chocolate: What is your favorite children's book?

Does middle grade count? Cause I'm gonna go with Harry Potter. #sorrynotsorry

4. Double shot of espresso: Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo! I literally did not want to put this book down. So. Good.

5. Starbucks: Name a book you see everywhere.

Um. Every new release? Most things on Instagram are all about the new not the old. If I really think about it though I do see a lot of Shadowhunter stuff on there.

6. That hipster coffee shop: Give a book by an indie author a shoutout.

I'm going to shout out a couple actually.

Alysha King, author of The Order of the Rose and Dragon's Heart

Kaitlyn Davis, author of new release The Raven and the Dove

7. Oops! I accidentally got decaf: Name a book you were expecting more from.

Cartier's Hope by MJ Rose
A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Steifvater

8. The perfect blend: Name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.

RED RISING BY PIERCE BROWN. I will shout this from the rooftops until the end of my days!

That's the coffee book tag loves! I found this on This Splendid Shambles. Tagging all of you lovelies to do this if you want to. 😀

Happy reading,
