Beauty and the Beast Book Tag

*I thought now would be a good time to do another book tag! Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney movie and right now we need all the things to distract us from the world. So grab a cup of your favorite beverage and read on. 😁

The Beauty and the Beast Book Tag

1. Tale as Old as Time: A popular theme, trope or setting you will never get bored of reading.

I know I'll never get tired of reading books that feature the enemies to lovers trope. But something that I'd like to see is an enemies to lovers story where the female is the enemy instead of the male.

2. Bell: A book you bought for its beautiful cover.

Definitely my Penguin in Bloom copy of Anne of Green Gables. The story is so heartwarming and beautiful. Just like the cover!

3. Beast: A Book you didn't expect much from but it pleasantly surprised you.

The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater. I was actually expecting to dnf this book before I even started it. Bad, I know. But I was so surprised by how much I loved this book.

4. Gaston: A Book everyone loves that you don't.

Girls of Paper and Fire. I just could not with this book. I ended up dnfing it over 200 pages in. It was just not worth reading.

5. Lefou: A loyal sidekick you can't help but love more than their counterpart.

Zuzana from Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I LOVE Zuzana! She is so sassy and reminded me of myself so there's that for you. πŸ˜…She's also super loyal to the main character, Karou. Their relationship makes the whole book better.

6. Mrs. Potts, Chip, Lumiere, and Cogsworth: A book that helped you get through a difficult time.

I'm going to say Eragon for this one. My childhood was not the greatest and I found Eragon right around the worst of it. I won't say this book saved my life, but it definitely changed it for the better.

7. Something There: A book or series you weren't into at first but picked up toward the end.

Throne of Glass fits this category for me. I just was not a fan of the first two books and then my favorite character died in the second one. It was so sad. But the third book in the series changed EVERYTHING for me. It's still not my all-time favorite series but I do have fond memories of it.

8. Be Our Guest: A fictional character you'd love to have over for dinner.

Darrow from Red Rising. Because guys, this man just needs a break. I want to sit him down at my table and feed him good food till he can't eat anymore and then let him sleep for days.

That's it for the Beauty and the Beast book tag! I saw this tag on This Splendid Shambles although I know tons of other people have done it too. If you want to answer the prompts feel free to do so in the comments. πŸ˜€

Happy reading,
