The Sims Book Tag

The Original Sims: the best author debut
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
This book blew me away! I was not expecting what was inside this book to actually be inside this book. I try not to know too much about a book before I read it because I just prefer not to know what it’s about. I knew this was a sci-fi and that’s basically it. It’s seriously one of the best debuts I’ve ever read.

The Grim Reaper: the saddest character death
A Court of Wings and Ruin By Sarah J Maas
It’s not a prominent death and gosh I don’t want to spoil it, but there is a father who dies near the end of the book and it was just super sad! The parent-child relationship was bad but they were about to start fixing it and then he died. I cried.

Sims Getting Stuck: a character that just got in the way
The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J Maas
Sam Cortland from the novella, The Assassin and the Empire, just got in the way and because of that, he died. This story was very sad and it made me feel all sorts of feelings.

Simlish: A book with amazing writing
Strange the Dreamer By Laini Taylor
There were so many amazing books I could have picked for this tag, but Strange the Dreamer tops my list of amazing writing. Actually, Laini is my writing queen. I will buy any book she writes ever.

Expansion Packs: a series where the books kept getting better
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
I’m seeing a trend here. Could it be my favorite author is Queen Maas? Yes and yes. Throne of Glass started out ok for me but every single book in that series has been better than the last. I’m currently reading Kingdom of Ash and it is like the icing on the cake. My feelings are destroyed but it’s soooo good!

Sims Romance: the worst case of instalove
I don’t actually read a lot of books with instalove in them. Really, the only one I can think of is Strange the Dreamer and that was a lot more complex than just basic instalove. There are a lot of emotions going on in that book so it didn’t bother me.

Cheats: a book that was entirely unrealistic
Um...I read a lot of fantasy, so most of my books are entirely unrealistic. So I guess I don’t have a pick for this one...

Needs Fulfillment: a character who made all the wrong decisions
America from The Selection by Kiera Cass
Oh my goodness. Talk about a character who makes some pretty poor decisions. It was amazing to me how an author could drag out a love triangle for three whole books. I mean Stephanie Meyer only did it for one book so there’s that.

Error Code 12: a series that started off great but went downhill
from there
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I legitimately loved the first book. I gave it 4 stars which is a pretty good rating. The sequel got 2 stars from me and the third book in the trilogy got a very low 3 star rating. The second book was such a huge disappointment for me.

The Sims Vortex: a book/series that completely engrossed you
A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas
This series will forever be one of my favorites of all time. I love these books so much. I completely lost myself in the story and I finished these faster than any series I have read to date.

Feel free to do this tag for yourself! I had so much fun with it. 😁

Happy tagging,
